Springtime
I finished my very first knit-along project! Considering how many dishcloths I've made this year, it's a wonder that I hadn't knitted a picture cloth until now. It was fun, I may have to go looking for more picture patterns. I LOVE the Bernat organic cotton! Compared to the Lily Sugar'n Cream that I normally use, it's wickedly soft. The bad news is that Bernat has a very limited choice of colors so I'll have to keep an eye out for other organic cotton yarn.
Bess has been sick the last 3 weeks. The first two was the flu, this last week it morphed into pneumonia. I swear, I don't think I've ever seen her that ill without being in the hospital. She really suffered, it was hard to see her in so much pain. I'd forgotten how painful your back gets with pneumonia. :*( Thanks to the miricle of antibiotics, she's feeling better. I'm glad I had the doctor talk to her about activity once she's feeling better. Because recovery time can be slow and relapse due to over exertion is a real possibility, she's under orders to take it easy and stay home at least another week.
